How to Use This Section

eCommerce for LS Central provides a set of tools, integration options, and platform connectors that allow retailers to connect their online sales channels with LS Central. Depending on your business needs and technology stack, you can integrate your eCommerce platform with LS Central using different approaches, ranging from fully supported LS Retail connectors to custom-built integrations.

eCommerce provides unlimited flexibility when it comes to selecting an eCommerce platform. By default, the solution is offered on top of the Magento platform, offering a turnkey solution where the LS Retail extension has been developed for the Magento platform.

  • LS Retail has teamed up with renowned eCommerce platforms, offering readily available integrations for Avensia Storefront, Dynamicweb, and Shopify Plus.

This section serves as the starting point for all eCommerce solutions available for LS Central.

  • Each subsection describes one of the supported integration models, how it connects to LS Central, and what scenarios it is designed for.

Integration Options

LS Central supports multiple ways of connecting external eCommerce platforms. The appropriate method depends on the platform you use and the level of customization required.

  1. Magento IntegrationsWhen customers deploy eCommerce for Magento they can choose between two versions of Magento: Open Source or the Commerce version. The open source version is Magento's entry level platform bearing no additional license fees, while the Commerce version is Magento's enterprise solution with its additional features, hosting capabilities, and licensing cost. LS Retail provides two different ways to integrate Magento:
    1. eCommerce for LS Central - Magento StandaloneUses direct LS Central web services (SOAP) without involving the Commerce Service or eCommerce APIs.     2. eCommercefor LS Central – Magento (Commerce Services–based)Uses the LS Commerce Services and the eCommerce APIs as the integration layer between Magento and LS Central.

  2. Shopify IntegrationLS Central includes a dedicated Shopify connector that enables real-time communication for items, prices, inventory, customers, and orders.This connector uses Shopify’s native APIs together withLS Central integration logic designed specifically for this platform.   3. Marketplace IntegrationsFor marketplace platforms such as Shopee and other regional marketplaces, LS Central provides integration components that allow data exchange for products, prices, inventory, and order handling.   4. eCommerce API for CommerceThe eCommerce API provides a unified interface for building custom web shops or headless commerce solutions. It is designed for partners and customers who want to build their own integration layer on top of the eCommerce Services framework.   5. Third-Party eCommercePlatformsThis section provides guidance for integrating LS Central with other eCommercesolutions not covered by the standard connectors.   6. eCommerce for Hospitality – MagentoFor hospitality businesses using LS Central for Hospitality, a dedicated Magento connector is available. How to Use This Section
