For Frequent Buyer Programs, personal coupons are created when you run the Update Member Information action under the Member Management.
You can issue a personal coupon on the POS, and the customer can also earn a personal coupon as an additional benefit when you trigger an offer that gives coupon as a benefit.
Note: For coupons issued on the POS and for benefit coupons, the Coupon ID Method field (on the Use FastTab on the Store Coupons, Return Coupons, and Manufacturer Coupons pages) must be set to Serial No. for an offline POS to work.
When you publish a coupon, the coupon is no longer personal. Every member can use the coupon to trigger an offer. Such coupons are not listed as personal coupons.
