Replen. Item Quantity Templates

The Replenishment Item Quantity records are calculated as a pre-process before adding lines to the journals. However, they are more likely to be calculated automatically by a Scheduler Job during overnight processing. When the Replenishment Item Quantity records are calculated through the Scheduler Job, all items and stores are included in the calculation by default, which can be quite time consuming.

Replen. Item Quantity Template provides an option to calculate the Replen. Item Quantity for a filtered set of items and stores. This option can be activated by enabling the Use Replen. Item Quantity Template setting in the Replen. Setup, and setting up the Replen. Item Quantity Templates.

To set up Replen. Item Quantity Templates

Click the icon, enter Replen. Item Quantity Templates, and select the relevant link.
Create a new Replen. Item Quantity Template by clicking the New action.
Fill in the below fields in the Replen. Item Quantity Template:

General FastTab

Field Name	Description
Code	This field specifies the Replen. Item Quantity Template Code.
Description	This field specifies the Replen. Item Quantity Template description.
Pre-Calculate Data from Replen. Template	This field specifies if the items and locations data should be pre-calculated from the Replen. Templates.
Linked Replen. Templates	This field specifies the number of Replen. Templates that are linked to the Replen. Item Quantity Template. This is only applicable when Pre-Calculate Data from Replen. Template is enabled.

Filters FastTab

The Replen. Item Quantity Template offers two filtering approaches:

Using the filters on the Replen. Item Quantity Template.

Replen. Item Quantity records are only calculated for the items and stores based on the specified filters:

Field Name	Description
Item Division Filter	This field specifies the item division that is used to filter the items.
Item Category Filter	This field specifies the item category that is used to filter the items.
Retail Product Filter	This field specifies the item product group that is used to filter the items.
Item Filter	This field specifies the item number that is used to filter the items.
Season Filter	This field specifies the season code that is used to filter the items.
ABC Amount Filter	This field specifies the ABC amount that is used to filter the items.
ABC Profit Filter	This field specifies the ABC profit thatis used to filter the items.
Store Group Filter	This field specifies the store group that is used to filter the locations.
Vendor Filter (Item)	This field specifies the vendor number thatis used to filter the items.
Replen. Calc. Type Filter (Item)	This field specifies the Replenishment Calculation Type thatis used to filter the items.

Using the filters set on the Replen. Templates.
- The Pre-Calculate Data from Replen. Template setting needs to be activated.
- Replen. Templates can be linked to the Replen. Item Quantity Template by using the Linked Replen. Templates field or action.
- The Replen. Item Quantity calculation is done in a two-step approach. Firstly, the system populates the list of items and locations to be considered based on the filters that are specified in the linked Replen. Templates. Then, in the next step, the system calculates the Replen. Item Quantity records for the pre-calculated items and locations.
- For more information about the filters that are available on the Replen. Templates, see Replenishment Templates and How to: Set Up Redistribution Templates .
- The Vendor No. Filter and the Replenishm. Calc. Type Filter from the Replen. Templates are not used. If you wish to filter the items based on Vendor and Replenishment Calculation Type, use the Vendor Filter (Item) and Replen. Calc. Type Filter (Item) available on the Replen. Item Quantity Template instead, which apply the filters directly on the item record.
  
  Note: For Replen. Templates of type Redistribution that are linked to Store Capacity or Lifecycle Planning Worksheet, their relevant items and locations will be populated based on the setup in the Store Capacity and the Lifecycle Planning Worksheet.
- You can view the pre-calculated items and locations using the Show Items and Show Locations actions.

Calculation FastTab

Here, you can specify whether the Replenishment Item Quantity calculation based on Replen. Item Quantity Template is to be run automatically or manually.

The default Run Frequency is set to Run Manually, but it is possible to specify a certain date if the calculation is to be run only once. You can also specify that the Replenishment calculation is to be run Daily, on Weekdays Only, or based on a Calculation Calendar.

The frequency options are:

Run Manually:	The Replen. Item Quantity Template is executed manually as needed.
Specific Day:	The Replen. Item Quantity Template is executed only once on the specified date or after the date. Next Run Date - This field specifies when the template will be run by the Scheduler job.
Daily:	The Replen. Item Quantity Template is executed daily. Here you can specify days that the system should exclude. The related setup fields are: Next Run Date - This field specifies when the template will be run by the Scheduler job. Allowed to run on Any Day - This field specifies if the template will be considered by the Scheduler job regardless of the run interval setup. Include Mondays - This field specifies if the template will run for every Monday. Include Tuesdays - This field specifies if the template will run for every Tuesday. Include Wednesdays - This field specifies if the template will run for every Wednesday. Include Thursdays - This field specifies if the template will run for every Thursday. Include Fridays - This field specifies if the template will run for every Friday. Include Saturdays - This field specifies if the template will run for every Saturday. Include Sundays - This field specifies if the template will run for every Sunday.
Weekdays Only:	The Replen. Item Quantity Template is executed on weekdays only. Here it is also possible to specify weekdays the system should exclude. The related setup fields are: Next Run Date - This field specifies when the template will be run by the Scheduler job. Allowed to run on Any Day - This field specifies if the template will be considered by the Scheduler job regardless of the run interval setup. Include Mondays - This field specifies if the template will run for every Monday. Include Tuesdays - This field specifies if the template will run for every Tuesday. Include Wednesdays - This field specifies if the template will run for every Wednesday. Include Thursdays - This field specifies if the template will run for every Thursday. Include Fridays - This field specifies if the template will run for every Friday.
Calculation Calendar:	The Replen. Item Quantity Template is executed on the date specified in the selected Calculation Calendar. For more details about the calculation calendar, see Replenishment Batch Calculation Calendar. The related setup fields are: Batch Calc. Calendar Code - This field specifies the Replenishment Batch Calculation Calendar that defines the calculation interval. Next Run Date - This field specifies when the template will be run by the Scheduler job. Allowed to run on Any Day - This field specifies if the template will be considered by the Scheduler job regardless of the run interval setup. Include Mondays - This field specifies if the template will run for every Monday. Include Tuesdays - This field specifies if the template will run for every Tuesday. Include Wednesdays - This field specifies if the template will run for every Wednesday. Include Thursdays - This field specifies if the template will run for every Thursday. Include Fridays - This field specifies if the template will run for every Friday. Include Saturdays - This field specifies if the template will run for every Saturday. Include Sundays - This field specifies if the template will run for every Sunday. Note: If no valid calendar entry is found, the setup in the check boxes Include Mondays to Include Sundays are used to calculate the Next Run Date.

The Last Run Date and the Last Run Time specify the date and time when the template was last run.

To calculate Replen. Item Quantity Templates with a Scheduler Job

The Replen. Item Quantity Templates can be calculated by using a Scheduler job:

Click the icon, enter Scheduler Job List, and select the relevant link to open the Scheduler Job List.
Create a new Scheduler Job by clicking the New action.
In the Object Setup FastTab, select Codeunit in the Object Type field, and assign the Object No. with 10012200 (LSC Replen. - Calc. Qtys).

For Replen. Item Quantity Templates that are set to Pre-Calculate Data from Replen. Template, the system always pre-calculates the items and locations to be considered before calculating the Replen. Item Quantity records. If you wish to run the items and locations pre-calculation as a separate job, then you can enable the Pre-Calculate Data from Replen. Template with Scheduler Job setting in the Replen. Setup.

To execute the items and locations pre-calculation separately via a Scheduler job:

Click the icon, enter Scheduler Job List, and select the relevant link to open the Scheduler Job List.
Create a new Scheduler Job by clicking the New action.
In the Object Setup FastTab, select Codeunit in the Object Type field, and assign the Object No. with 10012272 (LSC Replen. Pre-Calc Item Loc.).

Note: To use these features, you must enable the Use Replen. Item Quantity Template setting in the Replen. Setup.

To calculate Replen. Item Quantity Templates manually

It is possible to calculate Replen. Item Quantity Templates manually. In the Replen. Item Quantity Template page, click the Calculate Quantities action in the Process action menu.

For Replen. Item Quantity Templates that are set to Pre-Calculate Data from Replen. Template, there is an option you can choose, if the items and locations should be re-calculated prior to the Replen. Item Quantity calculation.

To pre-calculate items and locations manually

It is possible to pre-calculate items and locations manually for the Replen. Item Quantity Template.

Click the icon, enter Replen. Pre-Calculate Items and Locations, and select the relevant link to open the report.
The report comes with an Option FastTab, which consists of the following fields:

Replen. Template Filter - The items and locations are calculated based on the specified Replen. Templates.
Vendor Filter (Item) - Specifies the vendor number that is used to filter the item.
Replen. Calc. Type Filter (Item) - Specifies the Replenishment Calculation Type that is used to filter the item.

The Vendor Filter (Item) and the Replen. Calc. Type Filter (Item) in the Option FastTab are used instead of the Vendor No. Filter and the Replenishm. Calc. Type Filter in the Replen. Template.

Note: The Replen. Pre-Calculate Items and Locations report can only be used if Use Replen. Item Quantity Template is enabled in the Replen. Setup.
