How to: Assign Item Modifiers to Items

Item Modifiers can be assigned to an item directly or via the item's product group and item category.

Note: To assign Time Modifiers and Text Modifiers, follow the same instructions and select the time or text modifier type instead of the item modifier type.

For the item on the Recipe card or the Hospitality Item card

  1. Click the icon, enter Recipe List or Hospitality Item List, and select the relevant link.
  2. Open the card for an item that you want to assign an item modifier to.
  3. Click the Master Data action, then Item Modifiers.
  4. In the Infocode Code field, select the infocode you want to assign.
  5. Fill in the fields according to the online help.

Note: There are three fields on the Recipe Card, the Ingredients/Modifiers FastTab that are relevant for item modifiers:

For the item category

  1. Click the icon, enter Retail Item Categories, and select the relevant link.
  2. Highlight the item category that you want to assign an item modifier to.
  3. Click the Related action, then Item Modifiers.
  4. In the Infocode Code field, select the infocode you want to assign.
  5. Fill in the fields according to the online help.

For the product group

  1. Click the icon, enter Retail Product Groups, and select the relevant link.
  2. Highlight the product group that you want to assign a cross-selling infocode to.
  3. Click the Related action, then Item Modifiers.
  4. In the Infocode Code field, select the infocode you want to assign.
  5. Fill in the fields according to the online help.

Note: The Triggering and Quantity Handling fields are filled in from the item modifier. You can change them here on the infocode pages. The triggering can be restricted to certain sales types and units of measure.
