Configuration

Hospitality types appear in a menu at the top of the Startup POS:

Usually, the system creates the hospitality type menu at run time. Behind each button is the command HOSP-SWITCH-TYPE.

You view the different hospitality types by clicking the type you want to view.

For hospitality types with dining table layout view (graphical or button grid) and KOT List layout view, pressing the button for the hospitality type you are currently viewing, switches the view to the Order List view; a list of the unpaid orders for that hospitality type. When you click the button again, the system displays the normal view of the hospitality type.

Pressing the BACK button

You can put the HOSP-SWITCH-TYPE command on a menu button with the parameter SAMETYPE to toggle the views. For the Order List view, the direct edit menu can for example contain the BACK button with this command and parameter. Pressing the button brings back the original layout.

Configuration

For the dining table layout views, these three fields contain the data table and two menus that are shown for the order list view:

  • Grid Data Table ID
  • Grid Direct Edit Menu ID
  • Grid Order Details Menu ID

For the KOT list layout view, these three fields contain the data table and two menus that are shown for the order list view:

  • Order List Data Table ID
  • Order List Direct Edit Menu ID
  • Order List Details Menu ID
