  • for the day.

Command setup

The command for canceling allocation for multiple reservations is TR-R-ALLOCATE_DAY with the choice of the following parameters:

  • ALLOCDAY_CANCEL - cancels all allocations for reservations on the selected day plan and period (if selected). If a selection filter has been set, table allocations in those sections only are canceled.
  • ALLOCDAY_CANCELSECT - cancels allocations for tables in the sections selected in the dining area sections pop-up window for reservations on the selected day plan and period (if selected). If no section is selected, allocation is canceled for all sections.

To cancel allocations for multiple reservations

  1. In the Dining Allocation panel, browse to the day you want to cancel allocations.
  2. If you want, you can press a dining period to cancel allocation only for reservations during that period.
  3. If desired, you can set a dining area section filter (see Note below).
  4. You can see the statistics on unallocated, partially allocated, and fully allocated entries in the panel.
  5. Select Allocated, Partially Allocated.
  6. Select Cancel allocations or Cancel allocations for sections.
  7. If you select to cancel for sections, you select the sections in the dining area section pop-up twindow hat comes up (see Note below).
  8. Confirm to cancel (the program tells you how many reservation entries it is going to cancel allocations for).

The program cancels the allocations and prompts you in the end with how many entries it canceled allocations for and how long it took.

Note: For section filtering, there are two ways of selecting sections:

  1. You select the sections you want to cancel allocations in before you start the canceling process by using the dining area section filter in the panel (step 3).

  2. The dining area section pop-up window is a part of the cancellation process. When you start the cancellation process, the system displays the dining area section pop-up window (step 7).

    • You can select more than one dining area section.
    • If you press OK without selecting any section, the system cancels allocations in all dining area sections.
    • If you press Cancel, the system cancels the cancellation process.
    • Note: If you have already set a selection filter in step 3, this section filter is used and no pop-up window appears.

Note: If a reservation has dining tables allocated in more than one section, canceling allocations in one section does not cancel the allocations in the other sections. The reservation may end up being partially allocated.
