Allocating Dining Area Sections for a Reservation

To allocate complete dining area sections
You can allocate complete dining area sections to a reservation. You allocate dining tables in the The Dining Allocation Panel panel on the POS.
To allocate complete dining area sections
- Select the desired reservation list entry row and the Table column.
- Select Complete Section(s) from the drop-down list (if the reservation is within the seating time limit, you first press Allocate tables, and then Complete Section(s) from the drop-down list).
- In the Dining Area Sections pop-up window that appears, select one or more sections.
- Click OK.
The program allocates all available dining tables that are in the selected sections.
Tip: If you do not select any sections in the pop-up window and then click OK, the program allocates all available dining tables in all sections (same as if you had selected all the sections in the pop-up window).
If the capacity of allocated dining tables does not cover the number of guests in the reservation, the program informs the user that more dining tables are needed. The reservation becomes partially allocated.
The program disregards the dining table allocation ranking, and ignores any section filter that has been set in the panel.
Tip: You can easily cancel the allocation of individual dining tables.
Command setup
The command for allocating tables in dining area sections to a reservation is the TR-R-ALLOCATE command with the ALLOCRES_SECTION parameter.
