Staff

The Staff table contains information about each staff member, such as name, address, and phone number. In addition, it contains information on what actions the staff member is authorized to perform at the POS Terminal, such as voiding transactions, giving discounts, and performing tender declarations.

Each staff member must have a number for identification purposes, both in the back office and on the POS terminals. When you enter the Staff ID elsewhere in the program, for example when assigning the staff member as a store manager in the window, the program automatically uses the information associated with the staff ID.

If you are using the Employee table, the system provides the batch job to move an employee that is set up in the Employee table to the Staff table in the LS Retail system. The program copies the ID number, address, and phone numbers to the Staff table. There is no other relationship between the two tables.
