Features

The eCommerce – Magento is part of the LS Retail Unified Commerce solution for providing eCommerce interface in Magento with backend integration with LS Central. It uses Commerce Service SOAP based APIs to connect Magento with LS Central for two-way communications and allows web retailers to leverage crucial operations to LS Central, for example customer login/registration, basket calculation, discount calculations, order life cycle management, and so on.

The articles in this section list features that eCommerce – Magento provides as part of the integration between LS Central and Magento.

Replication

  • eCommerce - Magento populates the Magento catalog (products and categories) using the replication endpoints on the Commerce Service.
  • eCommerce - Magento keeps track of the last preaction fetching only delta updates.
  • Some of the data from Commerce Service is stored in Magento using custom-made, non-native entities used by the plugin.

  • eCommerce - Magento enables member registration through Magento.
  • Loyalty information will be shown in Magento on the account’s dashboard, for example points balance, club.

Cart Integration

  • The cart totals are calculated directly on LS Central and then updated in Magento.
  • Commerce OneLists are shared with all Commerce clients, for example the loyalty app.

  • eCommerce - Magento will register an order and push it back to LS Central.
  • eCommerce - Magento updates the Magento’s order state by pulling changes directly from LS Central.
