Swedish Fiscalization for LS Central
Swedish law (Skatteverket's kassaregister regulation) requires every POS terminal used for cash sales to be connected to a certified control unit (kassaregisterenhet). The control unit signs each transaction and produces a control code that must appear on the receipt.
LS Central provides this integration through the SE extension for Business Central, supporting two certified control unit providers:
Type A — e-Tax Control Unit
The e-Tax Control Unit is a hardware device (USB stick) connected to a Hardware Station via a COM port. Each POS terminal requires its own physical unit. The unit stores all signing data locally; tax authorities can inspect it directly at any time.
The e-Tax provider tested and supported by LS Central is West International. Each unit must be registered with Skatteverket, which issues unique identification stickers for each POS.
Type C — Infrasec Cloud Service
The Infrasec solution stores signing data in a central cloud service operated by Infrasec Sweden AB. Instead of a device at each POS, the signing is handled over HTTPS — either directly from Business Central (cloud mode) or through an LS Hardware Station (Hardware Station mode). Registration is done through the Infrasec partner portal; Infrasec then forwards the registration to Skatteverket.
Type C supports two communication protocols:
- Standard (posConneXion): The original Infrasec XML protocol.
- TCS (Transaction Control System): The newer Infrasec protocol, required for some Infrasec contracts. Enabled by the TCS Request toggle on the Fiscal Interface Setup.
Choosing between Type A and Type C
| Type A | Type C | |
| Hardware required | One USB control unit per POS | Hardware Station (optional for cloud mode) |
| Data storage | On the physical unit at each POS | Centrally at Infrasec |
| Registration authority | Skatteverket directly | Infrasec (forwards to Skatteverket) |
| BC cloud compatible | Requires Hardware Station | Yes (cloud mode without Hardware Station) |
