Import order

The LS Central India localization release package includes JSON configuration files that must be imported to activate tax calculation at the POS. These files define the use case rules and use case trees that drive GST, TCS, and VAT calculation.

The files are located in the AdditionalFiles folder of the IN localization package.

Configuration files

File Tax Type Purpose
LSCIN GST TaxUseCase.json GST Defines the GST use case scenarios (business conditions and events that trigger GST calculation). Import this file using the Use Cases page under the GST Tax Type.
LSCIN GST UseCaseTree.json GST Activates the GST use cases by defining the decision tree used to match transactions to use cases. Import using Use Case TreeImport Nodes.
LSCIN GST CESS TaxUseCase.json GST CESS Defines use case scenarios for GST Compensation Cess. Import under the GST CESS Tax Type.
LSCIN GST CESS UseCaseTree.json GST CESS Activates the GST CESS use cases. Import using Use Case TreeImport Nodes.
LSCIN TCS TaxUseCase.json TCS Defines TCS use case scenarios. Import under the TCS Tax Type. See TCS Tax Type Setup for details.
LSCIN TCS UseCaseTree.json TCS Activates TCS use cases. Import using Use Case TreeImport Nodes.
LSCIN VAT TaxTypeConfig.json VAT Configures the VAT Tax Type definition. Import under the VAT Tax Type. See VAT Tax Type Setup for details.
LSCIN VAT Use Case.json VAT Defines VAT use case scenarios. Import under the VAT Tax Type.
LSCIN VAT UseCaseTree.json VAT Activates VAT use cases. Import using Use Case TreeImport Nodes.
Scheduler Job Header.json Data Replication Sets up the replication scheduler job for the IN localization. Import once per environment using the Replication Counter Setup or scheduler import function.

Import order

Import the files in the following order to ensure that use case trees can resolve the use cases they reference:

  1. For each tax type (GST, GST CESS, TCS, VAT): import the TaxUseCase or TaxTypeConfig file first.
  2. Import the corresponding UseCaseTree file after the use cases are in place.
  3. Import the Scheduler Job Header file last, after all tax configuration is complete.
