Tender Card Bin
The POS identifies a Cashless Debit Card (CDC) by inspecting the Bank Identification Number (BIN) – the first six digits of the card number (PAN) – returned by the PED. To recognize a CDC at the POS, you must register the BIN ranges of the cards issued under the program on the card tender type.
Register CDC BIN ranges on a card tender type
- Click the
icon, enter Tender Type Setup List, and select the relevant link. - Select the card tender type used for CDC payments.
- Choose Tender Card Bin Setup.

- For each CDC BIN range supplied by the program, add a new line and enter the 6-digit BIN. (For example, 438875.)

After payment, when the PED returns the payment response, the POS reads the BIN from the response and checks it against this list. If the BIN matches a registered CDC BIN, the POS applies the PLB rules (restricted-item check, refund handling, transaction data upload).
