Telemetry
We have added telemetry support using Azure Insights for the AppShell on all platforms.
We use it to report
- Exceptions and Errors
- Connected Hardware (Printer, Scanner, Payment Device, etc.)
- Usage metrics on each platform
You can also add your own Azure Insights connection string to get all the same Telemetry data.
Windows AppShell Certificate
Version 2026.6 of the Windows AppShell is not singed with a certificate from a proper certificate autority. So we recommend deleting the app and reinstalling when upgrading to this version. Otherwise you could have 2 instances of the AppShell on the machine.
