Setting Nutritional Values (Recipe Level)
To set nutritional values on recipe level
To store and show nutritional information for recipes and dishes, start by defining which nutrients you want to track.
-
Go to the Recipe List.
-
Select the desired recipe.
-
Select Recipe, Nutrition on the action banner.
You can enter nutritional values in three ways.
Calculate from Ingredients
-
Select Calculate.
The system totals nutrition values from all recipe ingredients and fills the Value per Portion Weight fields.
It then calculates Value per Nutrition Weight and sets Nutrition Value to Calculated.
Use the Product Nutrition List
-
If a product nutrition list is available, open the Product Nutrition Code lookup in the Product Nutrition Code field.
-
In the Product Nutrition List, choose the product you want. You can use category and product group filters to narrow the list.
-
Confirm your selection.
The system copies Value per Nutrition Weight from the selected product to the recipe, sets Nutrition Value to Looked Up, and calculates Value per Portion Weight automatically.
Enter Values Manually
-
In the Serving Size field, enter the portion size you want to define.
-
In the Serving Unit of Measure field, open the lookup and choose the correct unit.
If the serving unit and nutrition weight unit are the same, or are linked with a conversion factor, the system calculates Serving Size in Nutr. UOM automatically.
The same automatic calculation applies when the serving unit is configured as an item unit of measure.
-
If Serving Size in Nutr. UOM is 0, enter the equivalent amount in the nutrition unit manually.
Example: If the serving size is 1 box and 1 box weighs 250 g, enter 250 when the nutrition unit is g.
-
Enter the nutrition values in the Value per Serving field for each nutrient.
The system calculates Value per Nutrition Weight and sets Nutrition Value to Entered.
