Recipe Number of Portions
A recipe's number of portions indicates how many servings the recipe produces.
For example, if the recipe is intended for four people, the number of portions is 4, and the quantities listed in the recipe lines are based on this serving size.
The system calculates the Qty. per portion based on the Qty. per Recipe No. of Portions, and vice versa.
When you change the number of the portions, you receive a message from the system:
- Update the value of Quantity per: If you select this option, the system calculates and updates the Quantity per field in proportion to the existing values in the Quantity per Recipe No. of Portions field.
- Update the value of Quantity per Recipe No. of Portions: If you select this option, the system calculates and updates the Quantity per Recipe No. of Portions field in proportion to the existing values in Quantity per field.
Copy Recipe with Multiplication Factor
- You can create a copy of a recipe with a multiplication factor. The system then creates a copy of the recipe with the ingredients multiplied as entered by the multiplication factor. The original item is not affected.
