Recipe Ingredients
Recipe ingredients are created in the Hospitality Item Card and are combined in appropriate quantities to create a recipe.
-
If the base unit of measure (UOM) differs from the recipe weight UOM, a conversion is necessary.
For example, if a bottle of milk and the recipe weight UOM is grams (GR), then a conversion between ML and GR is required to calculate the recipe weight accurately.
-
Any units can be used in recipes, as the system manages the calculation of the portion weight for the recipes. The portion weight is defined as the sum of the net weight of its ingredients.
-
The recipe weight UOM is specified in the Meal Planning Setup, and indicates the unit in which portion gross and net weights are expressed.
