By using the task Recipe Ingredient Replacement you can replace an ingredient with another simultaneously in all recipes that contain the ingredient. You have the option to replace the ingredient in all recipes or just in the ones you select.
- Open the Recipe Ingredient Replacement card:
- Select the item you want to replace.
- On the Actions menu, click Replace Ingredient or double-click the item in the list. The Recipe Ingredient Replacement Card appears, showing all the recipes the selected item is included in:
- In the New Item No. field, select the new item to replace with.
- Mark the recipes to be replaced in the Replace field. Use Mark All and Clear All actions to speed up your selection.
- Press the Action Replace Item with New Item.
Tip:The new item must include all the same units of measure as the old one. You can add units of measure to the new item in the Recipe Ingredient Replacement Card.
- To view the item units of measure for the old item, click Units of Measure on the action banner.
- To view and edit the item units of measure for the new item, click the arrow in the New Base Unit of Measure field.
