If a firewall is enabled, and the KDS is running on more than one computer, it is necessary to create Inbound rules for specific TCP/IP ports in the firewall so the KDS components can communicate.
For example, if the Display Stations are running on different computers than the Kitchen Service. The port numbers are set in the Kitchen service configuration.
The Kitchen Service usually listens on port no. 17750 and the Display Stations use the ports in the range 17800 - 17899 by default. Usually the port-range 17800 - 17850 should be enough.
Note: From version 21.0 and onwards the Display Stations do nOt use the ports in range 17800..17899. Only port 17750 is used
