Settings for Allocating Dining Tables for Walk-ins

You can create walk-in entries in the Allocation Panel in either of these ways:

Click the + button

Select the dining table you want to allocate.
When you create a walk-in entry, you can:

Enter allocation mode manually.

Have the system start allocation mode autaomtically.

Let the system allocate a dining table automatically.
Note: While in allocation mode, yo can stop the allocaiton process at any time by selecting Cancel.
Allocation settings for walk-in entries
In the Dining Area Card, select the desired option in the On Creating Walk-in Reservations field.
No Action

You must start allocation mode manually for the walk-in reservation.

If you create a walk-in entry on a specific table and need additional tables, you must continue allocation manually.
Start Manual Alloc. Mode
- When creating a walk-in reservation: allocation mode starts automatically so you can select tables for the guests.
- When creating a walk-in reservation on a specific dining table: allocation mode starts automatically if the guest count exceeds the table capacity, so you can select additional tables.
Try Automatic Allocation:

The system attempts to allocate a dining table or a combined table.
Try Automatic Alloc. - Then Manual:

When creating a walk-in reservation: the system first attempts automatic allocation of a dining table or combined table. If it cannot allocate, allocation mode starts automatically so you can select tables.

When creating a walk-in reservation on a specific table: allocation mode starts automatically if the guest count exceeds the table capacity, so you can select additional tables.
