When a dining table is selected, the POS shows a menu with details and actions based on that table's current state. To control which details are retrieved and displayed, choose a dining table selection handler in the dining area setup.
Note: You can also extend the handler to further customize the information that is retrieved and shown. Events are not included.
Note: There are two built-in handlers for dining table selection: Single Seating on Dining Table and Multiple Seatings on Dining Table.

Single seating on Dining Table - retrieves:
- Table description
- Table State
- Seating info
- Table locking
- Transaction status
- Staff info
- Kitchen status
- Transaction status
- Transaction info
- Reservation info.
Multiple Seatings on Dining Table - opts a dining area into Multiple Seatings on a Dining Table. Instead of a single table state, pressing the table retrieves, per group seated at the table:
- Number of seated groups and the number of seats still free
- Each group's guest count, comments, and kitchen status
- Each group's transaction and order status
- Upcoming reservations for the table, if any.
Nothing is shown until the interface profile has the multi-seatings panels set up, and the menu profile has their buttons and menu lines - see Multiple Seatings on a Dining Table.
