Retail Purchase Plan Name
The Retail Purchase Plan Name is used to create purchase budgets. Purchase budgets are used to compare planned purchases with actual purchases. You can create many different purchase budgets valid for different periods and with different starting dates. Purchase budgets can be based on different levels of the item hierarchy - Division, Item Category or Product Group. The main difference between sales budgets and purchase budgets is that you need to link a purchase budget to a sales budget. You should therefore create the sales budget first, before you create the purchase budget.
