Default POS Description, Meal Planning Setup

This field shows what the default value of the POS Description field in the Day Plan Line table. When a recipe or item is assigned to the dish on the line, the program fills in the POS description field according to the options selected in this field. The field can then be edited. The options are:

Recipe/Item Description - the description of the item or recipe assigned.

Dish Code - the code of the dish on the line.

Dish Description - the description of the dish on the line.

Note that the program does not enter a default value. If the POS Description field is not filled in for a recipe or item at the time its POS menu button is updated, the program updates the description of the button with the recipe/item description.
