Extended Variant Values

This table is used to control which values are incorporated into a combination (framework) of base values when variants are created.
If a combination uses 'Colour' for example, this table contains the setup for which colours, for example black, blue, white and so on.
The 'value' field can be selected (using F6) from available 'base' values for this code. Only values which have already been pre-defined in base values can be entered.
When creating a framework (combination of variant dimensions), you can setup which values (colours, sizes etc.) are available to the user when variants are created for the item.
The Value Type field controls if and when a value is part of the variant option for an item:

Default - The variant value is always part of the variants when variants are created for an item.

Request at Registering - The user will be requested at registering variants to decide if the value should be included for an item.

Optional - The user can add the variant value at any time to an item, thus creating additional variant options later.

Logical Order - This field controls the Order sequence when the value is displayed in a matrix.

Color - this field controls the colour used to view this value in the matrix forms, normally only used if the variant dimension is 'Colour', thus giving the user the option of viewing colour values as actual colours.
