Retail Application Serv. Setup
The Application Server Setup form is used to configure what an Application Server is supposed to
do in LS Retail. It can run the Scheduler and / or run a service for RF Handhelds (used in Inventory
Management). If more than one application server is used on the same database you can differentiate
between them by the User ID they use to log on.
The Function button in the Setup form gives you four functions:
Update Master: This creates a new binary item master file and stores it in a BLOB in the database.
Update Barcodes: This creates a new binary barcodes file and stores it in a BLOB in the database.
Export Master: Exports the binary item master file to the "Master Output Path" location.
Export Barcodes: Exports the binary barcodes master file to the "Barcodes Output Path" location.
